I'd personally wait it out a few days and see if she responds. May be send one final notice and try call her if possible.

Then if no response firstly file a claim with your local authority and then defame her name and reputation with all the proof available. I'm sure she won't like that.

Karma can be a bitch.

Like eveyrone Said. Its hard because we all one time or another have been scammed. My suggestion Take a day off relax, Then come back and go harder. Your on the road to success my friend there are going to be pot hole's and speed bumps on the road. Get over them and continue to strive for success. Your talented sk8. Dont allow it to bring you down
 
Thanks inumel for the kind words :) It was late here and thats why i had no friends at the moment to chill because most of them are sleeping ;p but my bhw family it so great and made me feel better :)

Shit, if someone scams me for 1k, it'd be a WAR if I didn't get it back. I'd create 30 web 2.0 profiles on the HIGHEST pr 2.0 sites, with proxies. Write horrible shit about her, bad for business, etc. Send SB's, High pr blog posts, high pr wiki links, and press releases to those links with her name as the keyword.

At the same time, I'd buy 10 expired domains w/ PR and rank for some keywords and make that money back. Yes, AT THE SAME TIME. I wish you luck OP. REMEMBER, BHW contains many resources to help you here.

thanks everyone for the answers :D I am still in the waiting because as i wrote here my friend contacted her website with some random questions and we wait if she replys to him and ignores me! Then i will email her telling her that her reputation is ruined if she is not get back to me.

Very true, but what's wrong with a little revenge. I mean, $1.1k could be used to feed a family for atleast a month. Could pay your mortgage. It could be that last 1k you needed before you bought that BMW with cash. I'd have to get some form of revenge, especially if I had already done the work.

I don't know how big of a star this girl is, but let me know if she scams you and happens to be popular in Spanish and/or Portuguese speaking countries. I'll gladly help you destroy her reputation on those locations too.

Again dont believe that she is a superstar. I think she is more like believing she is a superstar but yes first page of google had a website of her something like a small interview-fb-twitter-linkedin account etc.etc.

Her name has 110 exact searches (first time checking it) so i dont think she is so great at all but when the time comes you will see that there are a lot of ways to play with her hehe :)
 
Don't post to her sites and profiles. Wait atleast a week and then mail her again. I had a same issue where a bank reversal took place. The amount was smaller than this, but like yours he was mine client for months and I was handling multiple orders for him all the time. When the reversal took place, I mailed him back about it (no threatening words, just the info that your payments have been reversed by your bank) and he just paid up again saying that his bank screwed the payment as it couldn't recognized it. I am not sure if it was true or not, but he paid back instantly so that may be true.

So, please wait for some days so that your client can check back with the bank.

Eh, 1,000 is still a lot of money in my books. But I agree with some of the posts here; if things don't get resolved you can put it out there in the public. Especially if she's someone famous it'll get picked up fast by her local media...I think at least.
 
Yes thats what i am doing i am waiting 2-3 days more and email again for a reminder (but she used to reply the same day so something is strange now).
I know rushing things at the moment is going to bring nothing to the table so i just wait!

If you have worked with her for 4 months. May be you should go through your phone log or bills to find her phone no. if you ever talked with her on phone,that is the best way. Call her and talk to her. if you dont recieve any response. then you should take some step.
 
You could put your effort towards building new sites, unrelated to this issue, and move on however I would want to get the money back as it is personal.

While you are in your 'waiting mode' I suggest you register her exact match domain, if it is not taken already. If it is taken then get a 'sucks' added at the end, or alternatively the country code where she resides (is most famous). As long as you do not try and profit of this domain, adsense etc, then you can air your dirty laundry for the world to see. If she has any real ambition of wanting to be a star she wont like this.

If you do go down this course of action PM me and I will chip in $5 for a crazy fiver video song about what a scammer she is that you can put on the site. Nothing worse than people who try and rob you.
