Hello,

I am a forex affiliate. I have build up a webiste: bit.ly/1mRTBAT. I put much effort in layout, coding and now adding products. I have opened accounts at social websites (facebook, twitter, pinterest etc) and linked them to my website. I opened a blog and adding articles. I have some built-in SEO tools and use them all. At the moment there are about 30 clicks per hour (but I think most of the are bots from google, msn and so on.). If a user comes from google to my site it seems that they do nothing (they do not register any account). My bounce rate (according google analytics) is 60%. I don't know what to do. Is my site that ugly ??? :) I hope it is not. But maybe it's too confusing? So what do next to make my site popular? I would appreciate your feedback and ideas...

Why would you want people to register to visit your affiliate links, this is an instant put off to many. I for one would simply copy and paste the product name into Google, and I am sure many other would too. I guess you are trying to collect emails, a far better way would be to give away a free trading ebook.

Yes, I am collecting email adresses for my newsletter, of course ... My website should not be a "squeeze site". I like to build up a community (and finance it through affiliation).. Therefore, for some features you need to register ... for example, each product can be reviewed or discussed by the users on the site (on the product page, there are diffrent tabs: product descriptions, reviews, discussion). For this, I need registered users, too ... I am giving away a trading course and a free blog to read. On facebook, there are many friendships requests (without doing much advertising). But I do not get them to my website...

No calls to action jump out...also you say its a forex news site yet when you visit the site it looks like just random products to buy with no organization.

Make your content visible...and work in oyur offers throughout it...

Nobody is going to land on your site and just make a random purchase.

Give them a lot of good content and a reason to come back...multiple times.

Make your CTA stand out more...your "register today" box on the left is too small.

Put it on the right side and make sure it is above the fold...even have it follow the user as the scroll down.

Make some changes and then use crazyegg to gather info to make further changes.

Thank you, for your hints. The "Forex Market News Online" was a keyword which was recommended by a SEO expert (he said that this should be a ghood keyword").

Focus more on twitter dude. Twitter is a gold mine for this niche. Other thing is you need catchy sales pitch to attract customers which is missing from your site. Forex is a complex niche and nobody is gonna buy something which is available for free elsewhere.

I see that the most users to not land on the main home page when they come from google... They land on a product page. I don't know if they click on the homepage then.

"Forex Market News Online" Global monthly searches = 0, probably not quite the SEO expert he has been making out. Other than that the keyword is not a selling keyword either.

First you need to change this SEO "Guru" who recommended you this keyword which according to Google KWP is not searched by a single person.

You want people to land on your website searching for forex news and then disappoint them with paid Forex EA's . It is not going to get you customers.

Yes, you are right... How do I find the correct keywords?

I used to be into forex as an affiliate, but it is not something I bother much with these days, as the forex bubble has somewhat burst, still very profitable though. I work within the gambling niche, more so concentrating on specific casino games. Therefore I target keyword phrases such as "Play **** Online" "Play *****", as people searching phrases with play in them want to do one thing and one thing only, and that is play that certain game.

These days the most I do in Forex is upload Broker platform review videos to YouTube. I just simply upload them multiple times using multiple titles, and they still bring in OK money if you are just starting out.

He lied. on the good side, it should to be a snap to rank.

"Forex Market News Online" is not an action keyword, it is an information keyword. The intent of the searcher is not to buy, but to learn. You are targeting this customer the wrong way, unless you are offering them educational information about Forex.

And it gets no searches that I can see.

EDIT: I see everyone saw this too while I was typing.

mickyfu: thank you for your experience... I think you are right but I like to try a new way. I do not want to send out mails like "Buy this product! It makes $5000 a day".... I like to offer a "consumer opinion" site: Unbiased Advices. I do not decide what content to post and what not to post. It is an independent platform for traders to share their experiences - both good and bad. I think this make the site reliable and valuable. Of course, there are already a lot of sites that offer such services but that's my business and things I like to do with enthusiasm.

Ok, I am not a SEO expert. I just looked at Google Keyword planner. But to be honest, I don't undertsand what to do there :)

Ok, is there any good and cheap SEO service who can help me with correct SEO? Or anyone who can do that and partner with my website?
