I got a free mousepad from ezinearticles

Ok people....so hear this....i was recently inducted as a platinum author in ezine articles and i was shocked to see that i received a free pen, a mousepad and a book and sticker.....

is this something to celebrate or is this very normal....sorry but i feeling kind of proud....

what is your opinion on this.....?is it normal to have platinum status in ezine articles and get these things

Congrats. It feels good to get something "snail mail" but it just name branding reinforcement on their part. Have fun the new writing tools.

Hey it's not much, but you got something. I always like getting things like that. It's always funny when they make it out to be all important like its as good as a gold watch or something, when it's really just some promotional items. But hey, like I said, you still got something. It's still a recognition. Even if everyone else thought it was stupid, I'm still happy whenever I get anything free. LOL

I'd use that pen, and set that mouse pad on a shelf or something along with the book. What was the book BTW?

Also how many articles did you submit to get that platinum status.

Don't drink the coffee, it's awful.

But the mug does come in handy. :)

I got that a while back with I think some note pads too. I outsourced all the articles I submitted too :)
 
I believe they are simply checking if stuff will return back, so they could ban you for providing fake details. : )

Well that's a pretty cynical thought.
My guess is that you're one of the "glass is half empty" kind of guys. LOL

What's sad is they probably, in part, do use the gifts for that very reason. :rolleyes:

I think mostly though it's more of a promotional thing for the companies to do. I think they really just want to make sure the best producers get some warm fuzzy feelings every now and then to keep them producing. :cool:

Heh it's always fun to get free stuff in the mail. That coffee mug looks pretty cool. The mousepad too.
