I followed up with a client that I wanted to get for consulting. It was 8 long months of following up, never knowing if I'd get the sale.
I have about 20 or so methods that I use to attract leads but in the end, it doesn't matter what method you use if you're too afraid or lazy to follow up.
There were meetings, phone calls and texts. Speaking to more than one person in the company.
The client already was already paying a web development team, they even just started paying for a different competitor's service. But with following up, and offering professional & trustworthy advice, I acquired a 5 figure per year contract.
Most people don't follow up. Then a small percentage only follow up once. If you do follow up the right way by providing value and asking questions that generate responses, by being genuine in your willingness to help, and by asking the right questions, you'll probably make the sale.
Just most people don't want to endure the rejection. Follow up like you're a machine. One that doesn't have feelings. You'll get more sales.
Even I need to remind myself to follow up. Especially when I don't feel like it.
I needed to remind myself of this for months and hopefully I can help at least 1 person on BHW make it a point to follow up in 2023.
Best of luck out there.
