Before I start I am not saying what fixed it for me will fix it for you, but maybe it might help.

So recently my site was having crawled but not indexed issues, my site is new but I never had the issues before. I read online about the common reasons and none of them I felt applied to me. (thin content etc). I also do not buy that Google just chose not to index it like some people say, there had to be a reason and a link.

I tried internal linking and throwing backlinks at the posts but nothing worked.

So I decided to run all the pages I had this issue with through google page insights. Every single result had something in common and that was every page was in the red for the mobile performance metric, this couldn't be a coincidence?

I had recently installed a script which turns out slowed down my pages big time in Google's simulated 3G eyes. I had never really noticed it TBH.

So I fixed all the issues and got that metric upto 70+ at least. And resubmitted it and all pages then got indexed within a week!

As I said, not saying this is the issue for every page that is crawled but not indexed out there, but there is a reason Google is not indexing it, and if you can rule out the common reasons like thin content or duplicated, there will be a common link and page insights is a good place to start!

There will be a reason those pages are not being indexed! Don't just accept the common answers like your site is new or Google chooses not to index every page.

Just my opinion of course, but it worked for me.

Great finding. Now the only thing left to find is why Google does not show every post in SERPs even after indexing it. If someone can find a cause for it, it would be great for everybody.
Do you mean on site:domain.com ?

Low quality content or Keyword competition could be the possible reasons.

I liked two things about this post -

1) OP had a keen eye on details and was willing to find out the possible root cause of the problem. He found an issue, worked on that, observed the results and got it fixed. These are the ideal qualities of any internet marketer.

2) He bothered to share it with the community. I understand what he said that what worked for him may not work for others, but at least he bothered to share. Kudos to him for this.

I also have sites that face this issue and I would like to implement this speed rectification for mobile device and see what happens then.

Thanks mate

Don't see the reason to keep it to myself, we are all here for same reason and to help eachother I hope.

Yep it may not work for you guys but it was the issue for me, and page insights is a good starting point to work out what Google is seeing and why they are not indexing.

Google is all about mobile first so it makes sense if mobile performance metric was in the red then that is why they would not index it.

Good mate .

I think it's different because I have already experimented with a lot of possible factors. I think it's somehow linked to Google algorithm hits.

I have seen that the more the site gets hit by Google updates, the lower its chances get to getting every post into SERPs even though fully indexed. I feel like this is most likely the real reason.

I have another kind of problem :)
One of my sites got hit in June 2022 Update.
But the problem is that whatever I post, gets indexed and then gets anywhere at top 5 in SERPs. But the traffic on existing posts gets reduced in the ratio of how much traffic I receive on my new posts. It seems Google is limiting my traffic.

I have the same issue on 10k pages:

Why then does this happen with new sites (1-2 months)?
My old site has the same history as yours, I started a new one and ran into the same thing.

Great tips.

Also having some problems, reviving an old shop stores noindex'd website rankings. I've detailed it in this same subforum.
I've checked my insights page and it's void of any information.
Even though there is a bunch of pages in Google results, but there no results showing on my SERP tracked keywords, no URLs in the inspector, and the validation process is now at Page redirect confirmation (but there is none setup). It's been maybe at least 10 days waiting for some progress, and it sucks not having results to show owner.

Wow, never knew page speed could have an impact on site indexation. Thanks for this great share. I’m definitely gonna give it a try.
