A certain hosting company, who will not be named, has missed the fact for a year I was not paying for my hosting :D But they finally caught on. I got this email, about a year and a half from my last payment(I cancelled their service).
This message is our SECOND AND FINAL WARNING that you now have pending invoices for 3 or more months of hosting with us. Your account has been scheduled for deletion in ONE WEEKS and unless we hear from you, your hosting plan, along with any information that might be on it WILL BE REMOVED from our servers.

Until your account is unsuspended, no backups or any access to the service whatsoever can be provided.

We urge you to contact us regarding your account in order to avoid any data loss.
I'm going to hope to send a little more spam off this server before they delete forever, as in three months:p

Haha , If they are a professional company then this is bad because usually when you cancel a subscription, The hosting company should of cancelled the hosting also.

They are a professional company. I'm not really sure why they didn't cancel. But I never got a bill which makes it even better haha.

Lol thats quite lucky , Just hope that they dont send the debt onto a debt company. But i'm sure there are some tips in BHW on this just incase it happens lol

Good luck :)

haha that reminds me of an email i got from Just Host. Didnt quite get away with it for as long. but funny

Close the account and move on searching same black hole in some hosting provider.

I closed the account a year ago lol.

Any problem with them? I mean; why not go on with them?

the same thing happen to me with this one company and to this day they keep emailing me lol

haha..you guys won't believe, I am enjoying a high end VPS for 4 months now, with no payment, no invoices! :D

Wish me luck! :D

I have not paid for my dedicated cpanel license for 8 months, last month they started billing me again. fooke**

Did they actually send invoices at all - if they have they *may* be able to pass that onto debt collection (doubtful but depends on how shitty they want to get).

If they haven't sent you invoices and you have a copy of the cancellation request then happy days....their fault, their problem :D

the cpanel license is usually paid by you hosting company...no??? that is from my experience anyway...

Nope the place where i have my servers only offers plesk, and i hate plesk. So i pay for cpanel licenses instead.

Ha Ha Ha...

I signed up with a company to learn affiliate marketing about 2 years ago and the $100 membership fee got me hosting, a cpanel, and a free domain name. I havent paid for hosting on any of my sites since then and my cpanel still works to this day.

I do recall their old sales page saying something like unlimited hosting so maybe I am one of the lucky few who got to slip in to this free gold nugget.:p

That depends on the hosting company and what level service package you're on. A lot of times for VPS or dedi servers you'll have to get things like cpanel, etc. on you're own.

Similar situation,

A company I also won't name has this current situation:

1. I had 2x packages with them, with one overdue and the other not.
2. They suspended both
3. I kicked up a massive stink about them suspending an unrelated package, and cancelled the overdue one (I didn't want it and figured they'd just delete it if I didn't pay)
4. The one I still have is VERY overdue, and they haven't suspended it or informed me :)

That is completely the hosting companies problem hahahaha. If they can't inform you of anything or send the correct invoice, then that is surly their loss. hahaha
