I feel guilty for spending money on myself

Hi,

Have seen low-money days for almost a decade and adjusted my behavior not to buy expensive phones, good clothes during tough times.

Now, when I can afford to buy, I cant make the final call to buy the iphone, or expensive shirt that I like....I fear i would feel guilty after buying it...

Buy samsung , Samsung is better phone than iPhone. Also you can potentially make more money with a better phone as it will increase your productivity so no need to feel guilty.
Buy something that can potentially make you more money in general. May be Buy domain and content from bhw marketplace.
If you invest your money wisely you can make more money.
 
I have kinda the same feeling.
I almost never spend money on buying expensive stuff, or unwanted stuff. Like watch, new phone, upgrading my PC, buying better laptop, etc.
However, I am always willing to give the best things I have to my family members.

jokes aside spend what you know you can recover, in this pandemix keep funds for health care and enjoy life don’t stress it
 
I get it, you just need more time to adjust to your new financial situation.
Small tip: if you increased your income without increasing the amout you spend, save it. Don't touch this money for a few years and let it gain some interest.

So even if you do have money now, you are still true to your roots.
 
It's because you don't have enough money yet.

Solution, make more money.
 
"expensive" is relative.

"expensive", is expensive only expensive when you give it weightage.

if you think buying something you always "wanted" makes you happy. buy it, .

spend it. call it - fuck-you money.

you earned it. you owe no one anything. and you deserve what you have earned. but keep focused and dont get soft.

Are you mortgage free, debt free and have savings in your bank enough to cover your bills for 6-12 months?

If so then buy what you like, you've worked long and hard to deserve it.
