I drop-ship using Amazon/eBay, can I purchase items through my Amazon affiliate link?

I do Amazon to eBay dropshipping and I had a question for those who have done this before. I'm only looking to hear from people who have personal experience on whether or not this is possible. I have seen it suggested by others but I'm not about to try it without hearing from someone who actually has done it.

I understand it's against ToS but then again, I drop-ship using them without ever losing my account, so things like this are possible.

I have heard that as long as the address is not the same as the billing address made with the account it is unlikely for them to do anything.

If it is in fact possible, please let me know your experience or process about doing so. I wouldn't mind ~6% back on my purchases every month.

It is possible, risky though. I have also looked into doing this and spoken to other ebay sellers who have and affiliates who do it. My suggestion is to add more products to ebay to sell and skip the affiliate. The max amount you can make is between $1000 - $2000 a month with about 13,000 orders a month. To me this isn't worth it. There is a lot of leg work involved with seting up randomized links so as not to get caught by Amazon and then the affiliate will want a cut of the pie. Spend that money on an automation service that will free up your time to grow your DS business.

Good information, I will probably just continue expanding my business.

Amazon has a strict policy about buying from yourself. It's best to use another affiliate, like I do. That way it's not risky for me and you benefit from their economies of scale. PM me and I can refer you to him(Yeah, you have to bookmark a new link every 3 days or so...but it's been working with me for 6 months.

By the way, you seem to be very experienced in amazon-ebay drop-shipping. Would you say that a newcomer has a chance in an over-saturated market? I already had an established seller account when I started, so the question is interesting.

So its okay to do if you just use a different account than your affiliate account? I have no problem doing that, but I was more worried about them seeing an order from the same IP every time. Let me know what you meant exactly. Thanks.
