When it comes to SEO services... whats the deal?

I don't understand how it works...

They will give you a website... domain... everything for a fairly decent price... Some of them you can get 5... 10 sites

Suppose to give you a passive income.

Support... all the jazz..


But why don't they just make mad micro niche sites themselves... and keep all that passive income?

Doesn't make sense to me. So either the sites they make arn't worth the 35$... or .... they are dumb..

I just wish somoene would explain this to me. Not trying to bash on anyone's service. Just really want to know

The way I see it, it's about the time spent maintaining the site to keep that "passive" income flowing.
Setting it up and getting you going in the right direction is one thing, but you have to keep posting content and building links etc. to drive traffic long term. So there will always be more work to be done on the site.

There's also less inherent risk(for the freelancer), as he will be contracted to create the site and perhaps meet some goals, but at that point he gets paid and is done. If the site later on becomes unprofitable for you or loses ranking, that's another story, and not their problem unless they are brought in for more work.
 
With websites - you have to continually check your rankings, links, optimization etc. It's like a living thing that needs nurturing. If you become passive your traffic will dive.

So, you're really just paying for the initial setup - don't believe any "guaranteed income" or other stuff. As long as it's quality work and quality content, it's what you need to get started.
 
Because MNS sites, and sites that heavily "seo'd" by BHW packages generally don't last long in google. These service guys can make more money spinning crap ass websites to n00bs than they can focusing on one single website. These are cut and paste type marketers. Don't be surprised if your special keyword is also shared with other people later on. It's really kind of sick and disgusting. I would stray away from it.
 
My guess is that their strong point is building websites and not SEO, and seo for multiple sites can get expensive.

And for the record and passive income doesn't exist, not in IM.
 
^ One of my websites is purely passive now. But that wasn't until after I spent 600+ hours working on it. :) But it ranks in $100/m autopilot now. Was it worth it? ... Eh.
 
Don't bother buying any of those, they're worthless. Sellers take advantage of newbies like yourself that still believe making money online is easy and doesn't take time. To work online, you need to have your bullshit radar on full blast, because this shit is everywhere. Honestly, I wish Blackhatworld would post a sticky advising users not to purchase that crap. But, Blackhatworld is a business like any other and it will turn a blind eye for more users and more $$$$.

I have a fleeting suspicion that half the users on BHW are fake. Sellers create multiple genuine accounts and build the profiles' legitimacy, then they post in the Marketplace section with their main account. They then use their fake accounts to purchase and comment positively on their own posts build legitimacy and to boost their page to the top of the marketplace section because it's sorted by most recent reply. Remember, these accounts or websites they are selling probably take 5 min to create. I would bet that at least 25% of all replies to a marketplace section are fake.

No pays, no gains. No matter it is true or false, there are peopel who made it. Of course, there are more people who lose in the game. :p
 
The reality is you get what you pay for and the rest is up to you.

In general they are not scammers, some services have questionable descriptions, but you have to have a plan. So if you were to buy those sites you mentioned, how do they fit into your plan?

You could use them for buffer sites, or churn and burn or whatever but if you buy something thinking it's the whole solution, you are fooling yourself. (Yes some of the descriptions could be described as misleading, I.e. penguin, hummingbird, parrot and elephant safe, or super duper high pr) but that's sales pitch.

If you pay for the sites and don't get them, then you have been scammed, if you get them and don't have a plan, then your fooling yourself.

I disagree with you. These sellers advertise something they know will not happen. They advertise on purpose to mislead those who don't know any better. If they advertised their services for what they are, I would be completely ok with it and more trusting in general. That is not the demographic these sellers are after. They want the people that don't know any better, that believe if they purchase these "micro-niche" sites or whatever current bullshit they're spewing will lead them to making money. 99% of the sites advertised will not make a dime.

Only when the buyer has gained experienced and knowledge in Internet Marketing do the services become useful, and that's only because you've found an effective blackhat use for them. Otherwise, they're garbage and useless.

It's like advertising a broken down car as used. Yeah it's essentially worthless, but if the buyer recognizes that the car can be sold as scrap, then it can be useful, so it's ok. .... No.. it's not.

If you pay for the broken down car and don't get it, they you have been scammed, if you get it and don't have a plan to get value from it, then you're fooling yourself.

You look to be one of those people.

For other's that don't see the whole point of what you're saying, he's describing how there will always be people that will fall for these deceptive tricks, there will always be fools who buy these services and expect to earn a positive reward. It's an endless cycle and in the end the only thing that matters is making money. Who cares about these fools, there will always be more, so long as he's one of the ones that "make it",in the end it doesn't matter.

I don't necessarily disagree with what you are saying there have been many complaints about the BST section, however there are good hard working people doing a good job.

Your best bet is to query the services in question rather than generalise.

You can spot the tubes a mile off, one thing that everyone here encourages newbies is to read and learn and be cautious before parting with money.

This game takes hard work, and dedication, there is no fire and forget solutions.
