Hello guys,

I have an Instagram account that seems going crazy for 2 months.

My posts did pretty well with my followers, i have a good engagment so Instagram put my posts in the top 9 hashtags but there are just few people than follow me through hashtags.

.

Let's check this post : almost 14 000 impressions from the hashtags and only 13 followers. What is strange is that before i was like 70 - 100 followers at least for that kind of post.

I don't think i'm shadowban because my post appear in the top hashtags and i don't think the problem comes frome my content because i have a good engagment.

Have you an idea ??

Thanks

There are different levels of shadowban mate, sometimes your post show on top hashtags, and sometimes it doesn't. IG introduced randomization to prevent auditors and developers from completely understanding their newest algorithms and community guideline policies. Your best bet is to simply continue posting and monitoring the insight performance and perhaps toning down hashtags/phototags and anything else that may be construed as spammy. Hope that helps.

Your account seems to be doing fine but you have to understand there's a little difference between engaging with a post and being utterly interested in the account: somebody can like a picture with cats because they are cute and they like cats; yet they won't follow your account. Perhaps they are already following few accounts int he pet niche and that's enough for them, simply they are just not as crazy about cats to have their feed flooded with kitten pictures everyday.

Try to reach out some big pages in your niche, ask them for a shoutout see how it performs in terms of gaining new followers.

Thanks guys for your answers.

@perrymason Usually, I'm around +80 new followers/post. I'm not in a casual niche. I will try to post without # next week.

this, i really don't understand ig and also, Community Guideline policies should be a clear line, so everyone can follow it , but they randomize it on purpose making it blur, and hard.
