People just straight up break not only youtube policies but clear copyright violations? They just take something and use it to plug their own site? Why would they want all this illegal attention on their site?

Does anyone market on youtube legally?

Youtube doesnt seem to care to much.
And it all comes down to $ dont it.
The more visitors the more $ can be made.
And most of these sites are easy come easy go sort of sites.
For example 1 site may earn you $1000 and then its banned etc so delete it and do it again. Better yet do it X1000.

Just my thoughts on the issue.

I've marketed some of my clients legally on YouTube, but it involves actually creating content. If you create novel, original content, watermark it relatively effectively, use social media networks to distribute it, create a branded YouTube account, you can absolutely see real return from marketing on YouTube.

I created a branded account and put up a series of extremely simple tutorial videos for one of my clients. None of it was heavily branded, just subtle watermarking and extremely relevant to the products that the site sells. I submitted them to StumbleUpon and a few other services and forgot about it. Two months after the original submissions, the logs and Analytics started to show reasonable traffic from YouTube. Low and behold, a few of the videos had received six-digit view counts and were getting placed HIGH in SERPs for related keywords.

The most important pattern that we noticed was that the conversion ratios for our sites that appeared on the same SE pages as the videos were much higher. Just having the branded video title a few positions below the actual page created a little bubble of customer and consumer confidence.

So to answer your original question, I've marketed very effectively with YouTube without breaking any TOS or copyright laws.

Yea but posting in comments is spam. Do you have to do that with a proxy? Can't that still get your hosting company to shut you down?

Proxy? Well I wouldnt do anything blackhat without a proxy. Sorry I dont have any programs for you I use pretty much only custom made solutions.
What hosting company? Automatic redirect from domain registrar with privacy protection, its $15 a year and if you cant make $15 promoting one domain then go to McDonalds and get a job.

Dude, this is blackhat forum. IF you start with this kind of questions, you have a lot to change your mentality before making real cash in blackhat style.

PS: I know a way to market on youtube using videos that does not break any copyright rights, does NOT need you to create videos, and is MUCH MORE efficient than classical video marketing. Guess which it is.

    Nick Flame,
Is it downloading sexy vids of stripping girls and then watermarking them and upload them?

Acrimon, I respectfully think you need to look at the title of the website you're on: BLACK HAT world. The techniques and tactics you learn on this site... well, they don't exactly fit into the TOS of most companies. That's why its called black hat. If you're uncomfortable with this kind of stuff, you might want to mosey on over to a white hat seo forum somewhere.
