I don't understand how to do this

I installed the software and when open it i got this message

'This application is a shell extension. Please right-click on files, folders and drives in Windows Explorer and select the Change attributes... context menu entry.'

Can someone clarify this?

Try running it in Windows XP compatibility mode if you're using Windows 8.
 
Right-click file -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Windows SP3

This should work. Also try and run it as admin!
 
Still same.. Anyone has arttribute changer? I've problem when upload video to youtube..
 
this means ou hyave to right click on the file which attribut you want to change and select the program from the menu. you cant start this program stand alone.

ok, if you are serious, then we need to start with the basics:

in your understanding what are file attributes?
why do you want to change them?
how do you think this will help you uploading to youtube?

then in light of the above knowledge, I will try to find a solution to your problem

you know when you right click a file and there are all kinds of options listed? well, those are basically shell extensions.

So, like Ricardo was saying...

right click the file you want to change the attributes on
click 'Change Attributes...' (it was added when you installed the attribute changer program)
change whatever attributes you want to change about the file
 
Ok that makes sense.. So when i clicked on file->right click->attribute changer i got this message

check if the file is not used by another application (first stop that and then try again)
