I have been in the online marketing for many years now and dipped my toes into most areas of the business over the years.

However, for the past year or so, things just have not been working out.

It first started when my son was born 12 years ago. I had a decent job and was making good money online, however, I (like a lot of new parents) started suffering with depression and anxiety, to the point that I really wanted to end my life.

One of the contributing factors was my day job.

As I was making good money online, I decided to quit the job and focus on getting better.

Ever since then I have been taking 200mg of sertraline (zoloft) everyday and while it did save my life, over the years it has made me dumber.

Seriously, I feel like a zombie most of the time and just feel depersonalized.

Adding to that, I also have an underactive thyroid so have to take meds for that too.

Thanks to these problems, I really struggle to use my brain most of the time due to brain fog.

These days I tend to either jump from method to method or just don't work at all.

Obviously this has taken a toll on my income.

Right now, I am basically living off my wife's income while I try and make the 'next big thing' happen.

I can't go and get a day job due to medical reasons, but I am working on getting my brain fog in check.

I do have some days, where I can concentrate fine, one of which has been today, as I successfully created (thanks to chatgpt) a python bot to bulk create Pinterest pins. I plan on selling this at some point but need to work a bit more on it as I have a few more ideas.

Hopefully this will become a good earner. But I feel like I will just end up getting frustrated and shelving the project for another day.

I don't really know why I'm typing this post.

Do I want advice?, am I just ranting? I have no idea lol.

At the end of the day, I just really feel frustrated with myself, as I can't think properly.

Numerous times, I have sat down and tried to do some deep thinking but my brain seems to be working against me.

I can't think of any long-term goals, I can't even write down a list of interests.

I feel doomed.

How am I supposed to carry on living like this?
Do I just end it so I'm not a burden to my family?

I don't know, but I can't keep doing this...

Thats why you're not discovering the next big thing in your influence sphere. You are just building pointless admin tools to sell for a few bucks. In reality, you need a good outreach and marketing program to sell anything, so if you are going to bank well with something, you have to use what you already dipped your toes into over the years, consolidate your knowledge, and pick which 1 or 2 (really best 1 thing) you are going to work on, then work on that project till its finished, and is activity now in your marketing department. Where you can promote it next, and build your second idea while marketing and getting income from project 1. Keep pushing the marketing even more of project 1, and repeat what you learned here on every project after. and make exponential learnings.

I have sympathy and I see my image in your story.
I used to be happy working in an MMO and having time to take care of my children, even though at that time I received a very high salary at a large corporation.
But time passes quickly, it's been 7 years since I worked from home. and now I'm like a terrible farmer, doing boring jobs, day after day, some days without any money at all, and even losing money.
It's funny, I can share this on here, there's no other place to share it.

You still have to maintain an optimistic attitude, take good care of your body, everything will get better slowly, and you will make money slowly.

I was also on Zoloft though my dosage wasn't this high if I am correct.

I had psychotic anger issues and after some psychiatrist did the correct diagnosis, he put me on 55 mg of antipsychotics.

Then again, a family friend suggested homeopathy to us and this new doctor reduced my dosage to 7.5 mg of antipsychotics over a year gradually.

Coming back to your situation, I think you should start working out. That might help.

Long walks bring in clarity of thought as well.

Hope you find success in your IM journey.

Best wishes from my side for that.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm just feeling a little pointless right now, and just don't know how to move forward when my brain is applying the brakes.

Seriously getting sick of not being able to think properly.

I used to be quite intelligent with a high level of critical thinking. I used to be the guy that everyone went to when they needed a problem solving. I used to be able to find loopholes in pretty much any situation (my boss hated me for that lol)

But now, I struggle even thinking about what skills I have, or come up with the simplest of plans.

Any time I try to think of a solution, it's like my mind just turns to static.

Is this just side effects from my meds? Is it a part of getting older? Do I have an undiagnosed case of adhd?

Who knows.

I really wish I could bet back to being my old self again

You should speak to your doctor about this. It's their job to adjust your medication based on how you're feeling. I had an ex go through a serious depression for over a year. Took about 5 months of different meds, upping and lowering dosages, and therapy sessions to get back to her old self. Hang in there an trust the process.

Start drinking few cups of strong coffee daily. Insert some routine of workout that includes super basic stuff.

Push ups(variations), maybe some dips with chairs, squats(variations), footwork drills, shadowboxing, walk/run (at room)

Remove all pills instantly without any reductions, and add some major vitamins, like complex (A-Z) 1 pill a day.

Split this workout in 2 or 3 short sessions over the day, start hour or so after coffee, durations of 10-15-20min max.

Eat 2 bananas at once per day and drink magnesium to cover coffee damage, to give yourself natural sugar.

Pick random things (workout) and do them, to increase your blood pressure and turn on the machine.

Strong coffee will give you focus and in this combination will support you to stay sharp and getting good vibes.

When something is done, we feel great. Even a smallest thing changes everything.

Read the forums, see what you can automate since you're not a newcomer.

Here is a good thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/4...with-ai-dont-click-if-you-are-google.1624543/

You have to find like 10-20 threads, mostly located at Journeys (quality) or eventually some AMA about TT YT IG whatever.

Copy few journeys you feel you can, and you should be fine in the long run. (sorry if bad english) Good luck.

Sleep 8hours and act like nothing bothers you.

Do not overthink, you are not alone. I have the same story as you. Let's just see how things go and try to just live for our family.

Any doctor prescribing you anti-depressants medication is slowly making things worse for you while making profit.

Just my opinion. I have some family members working in the medical field, those stuff are pure poison

Sometimes, it is just better to move back to a traditional job. That will provide some financial stability and also improve your mental health. Try to gradually get off the pills.
Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, I am unable to get a traditional job. I am starting to taper off the pills (gone from 200mg down to 150mg) which should help with the brain fog a little once my brain has adjusted to the new dosage.

Going below that amount is where it will start getting tricky though as the lower the dosage, the more impact it will have mentally.

Someone mentioned just stopping them all together. Nobody who is on antidepressants should do that as it is very dangerous.

I don't think I will ever fully come off them tbh. Which is fine if I'm on a really low dose. Unfortunately right now I'm on one of the maximum dosages, and the higher the dose, the more mental decline.

Just a quick update.

I am feeling a lot better (not 100%, but that could be a long way off yet).

I have managed to drop my meds down to 125mg and the brain fog has cleared up a lot.

I managed to finish my bulk pin creator and got it on gumroad, and made a whopping ONE SALE!! Lol

I have also managed to create a few other tools for myself including a rank tracker (so that is one expense per month I have removed), and I have created a bot/poster for a new parasite that seems to be doing well in my niche.

I have done a test run of 30 pages and they all posted perfectly. I have a list of 150 other keywords with aff links ready to post tomorrow :)

All in all, I have really impressed myself with what I have done so far, and things seem to be looking good for the future.

My next goal is to get my meds down even more and get my parasites ranked.

As I said in my first post, I have been using chatgpt to create my tools as my python knowledge is very minimal (did a basic course years ago), but I have been trying to deconstruct the code and learn from it.

So that will be another thing I'm going to be doing... Learning python again.

This should help give my brain a good workout and allow me to replace tools that I pay monthly for with my own versions.

How quick was that sale?

Because if it was relatively quick then one sale should be celebrated.

An awesome milestone reached.

Next milestone: Get another sale ;)

Nice to see you're taking action though - that puts you above 99% of people.

Wrong medications. I tried escitalopram, no side effects. Other, massive side effects.

So don't use that crap to your disadvantage.

I am practicing non-linear, 5d thinking. I remember that gravitation isn't real and that I am on a spinning planet that is in symbiosis with me + the sun gives me life. So that's it. I feel more connected to the solar system thanks to it. Puts me at ease.

Use therapy to your advantage. They have nice people helping you understand errors and they'll let you make better choices with regards to everything and commit less errors.

Lol, salesman? You can make money with clicks today, a lot more than with a small sale.
Although I don't know what was the OP's sale. I'd say $30...

Imagine you were paid $30 for 2 clicks, on each user session.

Sales and credit cards are overrated unless your sale is $500 - $1000. But that's a major course + software in one pack.

It was in the first few days. I posted a link to it on a few FB groups and managed to get a sale.

It is searchable in gumroad so hopefully some people will find it that way, but apart from that, I am not sure how else I'm going to market it yet.

I could do a PPC campaign but right now I don't really have the funds to run a test.

I guess I could scrape some related keywords and run them through my parasite posting tool. Not sure if the parasite would rank well for the niche though.

Luckily, the parasite does not have any captcha or anything that would cost money, so I guess there would be no harm in trying.

A threshold account costs adding a card and you have $12 on Google Ads to spend for a general search campaign.

Whether you pay or not in the end, doesn't matter in the beginning. If you pay $12 on Google Ads once you reach threshold, you get $50 threshold.

And then remember that one click can cost as little as 1/4th of a cent. If your landing page is good, you get high CTR, high position in SERPs and almost free traffic.

Just that your error might be picking hard to convert things for low money.

I put high converting offers where people click through few times and the conversion is 50%. Those are called "surveys" and "multiple zip submits sent in one session". Mobidea, CPAGrip have these offers. You just need to iframe them and make them feel like the real deal. People click quickly.

YouTube + keywords is the strongest parasite you'll ever get.

Why?

1. YouTube is a search engine.
2. Google ranks YouTube for keywords specified within the YouTube title and Youtube description.

I upload a video to a new account on YouTube with Google keywords, 100 vids to a channel, in an hour I have 1000 page views.

Keywords related to "mod apk" like "avakin life mod apk".

Good job man.

Now if you wanted to get another sale, do you think posting to more Facebook groups would result in another juicy ka-ching? ;)

You know it works, after all, that is how you got your first sale. :)

Gumroad itself is a parasite anyway ;)

Yeah, probably not the best option for PPC if you've got hardly any funds.
I could do a PPC campaign but right now I don't really have the funds to run a test.

Honestly man I would just focus on getting more sales via facebook groups.

But if you eventually go the parasite route, you can always use Reddit.

It's so powerful. ;)

No harm in trying?

Is that really true though?

I mean, you'll be taking away your limited attention/focus from the thing that did result in a sale.
Luckily, the parasite does not have any captcha or anything that would cost money, so I guess there would be no harm in trying.

Reddit has stupid level AI and users at the level of 4-crap.
YouTube doesn't have that problem. They only detect spam which means if you put many keywords into your description, you'll get your video taken down in no time.

Another thing worth understanding (not doing) is instagram and instant gratification happening there.

I'm looking for the easiest possible processes to make money. If I were to be honest about parasite SEO, I'd need to tell you the easiest way to do that would be to find wordpress based websites and automatically find vulnerabilities using a script. No idea why would you do that though if you have simpler processes like PPC and YouTube vids, Instagram, FB groups, chats etc.

In my opinion it's easier to work where the security is low and nobody cares much beyond adding quality.
