in the past, you learned tricks from friends. if you were anti social and had no friends, you would be screwed. I know because I grew up without the internet. I was very smart, but always way behind everyone else because everyone else was social and would learn life hacks from friends. by life hacks I don't mean how to hack a computer. I mean things like "how to get the best cd rates from the bank" or "how to get on the bus for free" or "what to do if you can't afford a real office" (I learned about virtual offices from forums, not from anyone in real life, because I had no one to teach me)
virtually all the information that I have learned is via internet. I feel old saying this but kids today take cell phones and internet for granted, they think internet = normal and lack of internet = abnormal
I remind me of my grandfather who would say "we used to live without electricity and plumbing at our house, you have no idea how good you have it"
