Did you do a voiceover with your stock footage? You need to make the video original with at least a voiceover. It's rare nowadays to get monetization with just simple images/stock video with no true originality.

Also, did you buy the public watch hours for your video via an smm panel? this isn't a problem, but you have got the 4,354 public watch hours which makes me wonder if you only privated/unlisted your other videos? If so, they still effect your channel.

I would also advise to spread your purchased hours over multiple videos - like 4 or 5 videos to make it look more legit.

What I would do in your situation is appeal to them if you feel your video is truly original and fair use. Did you get all the content from licensed sources/creative commons? Also you didn't answer my other question - did you fully delete the old videos, or just private/unlist them?

If they reject you, the next step to take is make 3/4 more videos that are original with voiceover and purchase views for them. They don't have to be watch time views, just cheap ones to give it a genuine look. Tip: purchase likes and some comments to make it look more genuine. Then just wait to apply again.

If you were to get rejected again after the appeal and doing the above - then you are clearly using insufficient content to make the videos.

No worries. One thing I found when I was in the same situation is that if you apply again straight after deleting the videos, it may still show on their system to check. In the future if deleting videos, do it 2-3 days prior to applying again.

Other than that, I wish you good luck!

If the majority of your video content is stock footage, it can get your channel rejected from YPP even after adding an original voiceover.

i have "real life crime story" channel that i wrote in deep script and voice over. But of course im mostly using stock footage to visulize what im saying in the video beside the real photo of the case. Do you think my channel still consider original content or no ?

A good thing to do in addition to what you are currently doing is to show your face in your videos. Embed a little rectangular video on the main video as you do the commentary.

Don't underate yourself. People only want to see proof to verify that what you are advertising is true. Show them what they need to seem. Use your marketing skills.

Just to make it clear - you can definitely be accepted into the YPP with just voiceover and no face. Think of the countless channels doing this.

The principle in question is WHAT type of content is being shown. You need to make sure you are doing the following:

- Voiceover is personal and relevant to the video

- Using stock or fair-use footage/video is essential. Just images in a slideshow is not monetizable. Google/YouTube have stated this in their terms

- Adding clear edits and transitions. Nothing crazy, but show that you put some effort into the video to make it look legit. Add in text overlays, simple transitions and maybe some animated icons (subscribe bell etc.)

- There is no harm in adding some cards at the end of the video to your other content (takes seconds to do)

- Meta data - I feel stupid saying this - But make sure you are making the title relevant, make a half-decent description and add some tags in for good measure

On top of this, don't just go and purchase some watchtime and think that will do it. Purchase views for your other videos (not watchtime) and put some likes on them. Aim for 5-10% like-to-view ratio. If you really want to increase your chances, add some custom comments on the videos - they are cheap and easy to type out.

hmmm....its too bad im not camera person.
its frustating cause i know channel with exactly same niche with some "not" very good editing and using stock photo and voice over get 400k subs and of course there is ads everywhere on their videos. Not showing her face.

Your explanation more clear to me. Maybe from now i will more using stock video than just image. Its frustating cause i know channel with 400k subs doing just voice over and image slideshow with double ads on their videos.

It sounds like that channel has probably been around for a while - maybe they were monetized prior to many of the new guidelines brought in by YT. The term is called 'grandfathered' which is used for channels that were created prior to 2015 that were automatically carried into the YPP.

My advice is to just use the tips I provided on your initial videos to get into the YPP. Once you are in, you are much safer. They will most likely never check your content unless you get strikes or large amounts of claims.

Most channels in your niche are probably in contract with a Network.

idk man. That "grandfathered" channel seems isn't the case. I know other channel with same case starting september 2021 they get monetize. We just dont know exactly.
