In my country, we call it an investment
You either buy it to live in it, to rent it, to flip it, and I guess you can buy it to park your money. So instead of keeping $X dollars in the bank you buy a property with the money and "park" it there.
But living in it, renting it or flipping it makes the property an asset, while using it to just park the money makes it a liability. Though I guess it can be sold some day and become an asset.

what am I missing here? I have a friend here down south who runs a skoda dealership, tells me TC plates are never white and if you have TC on a white plate the cops are going to stop you every time they see it. Have you been stopped yet?

Weird, I was stopped yesterday. He asked for the registration and licence. Nothing happened.
