Hey

I created backlink from asp.net (pr8). I posted in the forum and having my backlink in the the signature. When I test the PR of the page I posted comment on I see that pr is not available (n/a)

Wonder if google treats this as a PR8 backlink, because the top domain is PR8. Or it doesn't count at all because the it's the page that count and that page having the backlink has a "not available" backlink.....

What's your thoughts about it?

Then what's the point paying $299 for posting a link on dir.yahoo.com in the hope that you can get a PR8 backlink. I've checked that some of the pages containing links (I checked the humor directory) is not PR8, but PR5. I suppose that they will be paying $299 for a PR5 backlink... Don't look like a great deal, but maybe it's worth it....

I personal dont like paying buck bigs for a single or just a couple high pr backlinks. They just dont give the results in the serps and arnt worth the money
