I Can't Choose Between Polylang and WPML

Can you tell me a method to make my WordPress site multilingual, as well as a plugin that separates entries by language based on location? Additionally, I'd like a way to share each article in English or other languages.

I think you translate 1 page automatically to 250 languages and that's the blackest you can get.

Why would I translate to 2, 3 languages if I can go straight to all languages?

I think WPML already has geolocation based redirection for languages and for Polylang you can combine it with IP2Location plugin to do the same.
To share the article in English or other languages wouldn't just having different urls respective to the language work? i.e. website.com/en/article1 and website.com/de/article1 ?

My goal is to publish articles in all supported languages so that users from every country can access them; that's my only aim. We already have a translation plugin to add all languages.

The goal is more related to SEO. For example, a German site might not have its article indexed in the UK, or even if it is, it might not be very effective. This is entirely the reason.

This is not a Q&A platform where you get easy answers and people get banned for a curiosity question related to black hat themes.

If you want an easy answer, both plugins are trash for "black hat" which this forum is about.

Find something better.

I bet both WPML and PolyLang contain backdoors that let people hack sites with ease.

And there's plenty more issues with those to write about.

I'd make two different sites targeting keywords / writing articles targeting different countries.

Also, this is the Blogging category, and the description is: 'Talk about ways to improve your blogs on WordPress, Blogger, and other blogging platforms.' Accordingly, if you don't like the topic naturally, you don't write about it, or if my behavior is against the rules, you can report it and the authorities will intervene.

If you are looking for software without backdoors, it might be a bit difficult to find. Remember, even cybersecurity experts leave backdoors for emergency interventions. If you are interested in such security aspects, consider taking cybersecurity courses and obtaining a certification. Work in that direction.

This experience tells me why people quit wordpress and don't want wordpress jobs.

People working with it are so slow any boss will get pissed and wonder where all those hours went.

Not only the boss will be pissed off, but also the worker.

So it's a double trouble.

Writing a custom script to translate to many languages isn't hard for a developer who worked with it in the past.

See, they have AI, which means they care about their product / plugin.

But I can't recommend still. Things like that can and should be free.

It'd probably cost €200 to translate a large site (license + AI credits).

Both have almost all of the required features,
But WPML is easier to use/setup, have a good community & support overall,
Also, it works with almost all of the websites builder (elementor, JS composer, etc...),

Do not just translate every page/post out there,
Many websites has been penalized because of that in one of the recent updates,

Make your keyword research and make different posts focusing for the keywords of each of the languages,
Translate the post(s) if both/all languages have decent search volume about the topic

This information is very valuable and will be beneficial for everyone researching. As a final decision, we have decided to use WPML, and I hope everything goes as we want.
