I can't access the microsoft website

Didn't know where to put this thread. Feel free to move it.

For several months I have been unable to access any link from microsoft. I recently re-installed windows and purchased a new hard drive which has just finished installing. I checked the host file and everything is okay. I need to download .net framework and other updates as well.

Any ideas?
