I don't think anyone would buy it unless he they have a plan.

I think that some kind of background makes domain name useful or not. So you need to check that moment to find out. And /or start your own development. I believe each domain name has potential buyer, everything depends on you (as current owner) - how can you develop it and what kind of deal (with posible options of use) can you offer to potential buyer.
