I bought domain and bit.ly wont change it????HELP

Bought it of godaddy...

But when I want to verify domain at bit.ly it says Short Domain verification failed. Neither an A Record nor a CNAME record was found.

Very odd, I'm pretty good with domains. Did you set up the DNS correctly? It takes 24-48 hours to correctly set up
