I have an idea for an e-book, in a relatively untapped market. I actually already created the cover in adobe illustrator and a great idea for the pitch page.

It is going to be a short book 30-50 pages and I am thinking of offering free expert advice for 3 months along with the product.

My question is, do a lot of people on here operate on clickbank as publishers? Also, does anyone have any tips on selling an e-book on click bank if you do.

(Also, tips for commission, tools, success stories, and other tips for being a publisher on clickbank would be great!!)

    Thank you guys!!

I am in the process of creating my own product. it is a software to create landing pages but what makes mine different is that it has autoresponders and opt ins and drip mails built in so no need to buy that extra if you are on a tight budget. My process is a bit more difficult than yours as I have to send the purchaser a automated log in and auto generated password...

yours should be relatively simple as you will more than likely have a "thank-you" page with your book in a pdf format in the form of a link.

the biggest thing you want to do is test your product by selling it first and getting sales so you can test various content/videos/colors and so on.

I pay 75% commission on the front end, 60% on the up sell and $50% on the reoccurring fees (which we only charge $19 a month so affiliates may not like that but the consumer will)

We also have to play with pricing on all 3 stages to see what converts the best $47, $67, $77 or $97 (front end) and same with the backend. if this takes off we may also charge $37 a month for reoccurring fees like leadpages does. as far as I'm concerned we have a much more user friendly, more customizable and better options than them (i used them in the past so I know this for a fact)

which brings me to my next point. you want to know everything about your competition and do it better than them. offer more options, more content or as you said 3 months free advice. buy there product and see what they offer, how they use upsells/downsells, what the prices are on the backend and so on. these are things you can not see just by going to there website...actually buy the product and take notes!

    Best of luck my friend,
    Ryan

Selling an ebook on CB can be challenging and cost inefficient. To recoup the expenses associated with opening and maintaining a publisher account most marketers create "products." If you are intending to sell solely an ebook you can and may achieve success in the CB marketplace, but you may also easily find it's a lot easier, and cheaper to set up your own solution, and take payment by paypal.

Have you at least done any sells with other products or you just saw one of clickbank's crappy webinar showing you how "easy" it is to make your own product and tons of affiliates will start jumping on you for promoting it?

Not a bad idea, but it's very overcrowded, it can be very challenging.
But if your idea it's original, give it a try!
