I am looking for proven platforms for posting articles (White Hat, IT topics)

I’d look for established IT publications where the article genuinely fits the audience. A relevant platform with real readers is usually more valuable than chasing sites purely for backlinks.

Dev.to n Hashnode, they got genuine engaged tech audiences n Google actually trusts n indexes content from em fast bc the community's real.

Dev.to and Hashnode are solid. I'd add Medium but for a different reason. It barely ranks in Google anymore, though its own distribution can still send real readers if a piece lands, and for IT that audience actually converts.

Worth separating the two things you're asking. Ranking in Google and building authority aren't the same job and the platforms differ.

For ranking, borrowed authority isn't as useful as it looks. Google rarely shows more than a page or two from the same domain on a query, so your article is queued behind thousands of others on that platform before it competes with anyone else.

For traffic and audience, the community platforms win, because there are people there already.

One thing nobody mentions: Medium and Hashnode both let you set a canonical back to your own site. Publish on yours first, then syndicate with canonical pointing home. You get the readers, your domain keeps the ranking signal. Do it the other way round and you've just built someone else's page.

Reddit's worth a look too. For IT questions, it ranks better than most of these now, though you can't be obvious about it.

Developer community platforms are the best for IT specific content, like Devto or Hashnode
