As soon as you get it out of the box, frisbee it out of a 5 story building.

Nooo, never treat mac books like that, it's not correct. Use a sledgehammer and break it to pieces, record it on video and make it go viral, then use it to promote cpa offers. That way you earn money and save the trip to the building's roof.

I'm so excited I just can't hide it. Congrats, you just joined a cult! ;)

just to have an idea to post a thread about that, you're really excited...
hello to the MAC world wish you spend best time with the book.

Smash it as soon as you hold it in your hands...

If you can, return it. I'm not even joking like some of the other people here, it'll put you at a great disadvantage.

Thing is, you won't be able to run most .exe programs, many softwares aren't compatible, and stuff for macs is overpriced anyways.
Not to mention, most of internet users use Windows and if you are doing IM you should be using what they are using.

They don't allow people to buy marijuana but they allow them to have Macs delivered to their houses...what is the world coming to.

I can still partition it and get windows on there too!

How did you get that impression?

I run all my software on Lion just fine. There 's that little thing called virtual machines. And since MacBook Pros are beasts, you install Parallel Desktop and voila! Windows 7 running smoothly on virtualization. I play Windows games too (like LoL/Civ5) with no issue.
