There is money in Dating sites but you need some niche. Doesn't matter what some people think but truth is there are people paying $$ to become paid members.

But if you are a one person and thinking to use or write some script then don't do it. It's not easy to run a dating site. The best thing is to create white lable dating site. Let them do everything except finding free members; and that's the only job you have to do.

You need traffic from paid advertisements, TV and other forms. You also might want to look up Christian Mingle and see how they did it. Not all of their customers are paying, so that 7M or more registered members are not all paying or real accounts.
