Hey guys,

wanted to ask you guys a quick question. I always wanted to build an online business, something that will sustain my family & me and give me opportunity to grow more.

So far I invested a lot of money into learning closing & sales, and on the overall SMMA business model. I am not getting anything from it, and I spent a lot of money and my time (more importantly). I am 20, soon to be 21, and I have started to find my way in business since I was 18.

I am a web developer full time, so I know a lot about web development and design, picked up a lot about sales and marketing.

Online there are business models such as dropshipping, consulting, and a lot others. I am wondering what would you guys recommend? I want to build something sustainable, long term, I do not want to burn through customers/profits.

Thanks! :)

SMMA is not sustainable business model.

As you already know web development, offer web development and maintenance services.

Start from here.

Thanks a lot for the input!

Would you offer the services to business and similar? I was thinking of doing something e-commerce related, or SaaS or something which is fairly automated.. With e-com I was looking at dropshipping because I do not have any stock. What do you think about these ideas?

Thanks again for your input!

Yes.

You can go for SaaS or automation tool. But requires some budget. That is why I said start with web development and generate cash and invest in Saas or other tool.

Yeah, I'd always recommend SaaS for further down the line. We ended up with more of a SaaS discussion in there, but what I was saying was more about "have your own product", which can be consulting, an info product or a physical product. Ie, don't rely on affiliate marketing if you want the easiest way to make big money. SaaS is a 3rd or 4th stage business. The only exception to this rule is if you're creating a micro-SaaS, which is a totally different thing. That's a small SaaS tool aimed at a very tight niche where your goal is $5k to $50k/mo. Anything under $50k/mo is micro-SaaS.
