I always wonder...

I always wonder why I found some domain that is registered but there is nothing on it. No domain parking, no pages, nothing. It's simply inaccessible, but whois shows registered.

Yes I know there might be a few odd one that registered the domain and didnt set the nameserver or something like that. But I find there are too many domain like this and I dont believe this is the sole reason.

Many just register and that's it they buy to keep like good wine then sell later

I understand there are some cases like this, but can there be other reason? all this time sitting there, they don't think about monetizing it or put a contact page? How would interested buyer contact them if they have domain privacy on?

They will use sites like this when they want to sell
domaining.com

I'm questioning myself the same... It happens often that I find an interesting keyword, check EMDs with name.com and all the 3 top extensions (.com, .org, .net) are taken...

Then I go to check the domains, and there's no content on any of them....

Some people maybe overdue it when buying domains and just waste their money, as they never find time to go back to all the domains and maintain it. Then, people like me or you, who could make a nice bank with that site, can not get it...

the domainers are mass registering all the exact match domains. They are just hoping you see a dead page, check whois and make them an offer.
