So I am going for an EMD.

Should I go with:
1. word1-word2.com
2. theword1word2.com
3. word1word2.co

The original EMD is premium and costs a lot!

'The' might sound a bit off though.

Thanks in advance

hypen is better in terms of EMD effect but the will look more professional

1. I feel is best becuase still many domains rank for keywords I find with dash in the middle. You could also use https://leandomainsearch.com/search to pick a more brandable keyword1.

Upto you though, you could be there for a couple of weeks deciding and you miss them, so be quick, that's happened to me before.

yeah, hyphen for me, too. I simply hate domains starting with "the".

If you're not pretentious, though, you could choose option 3 instead of 1. Personally, I do prefer a .com (which is why I recommended the hyphenated name), but I've seen a ton of .co and .io domains lately, so google will not care either way. It's what you feel comfortable with

Maybe (if that is possible) you can have the way like:
abbreviation_of_word1word2.com?
That might help to get domain name shorter + you will have no hyphens.

But don't you think that will dilute the value of the EMD?
