Hyperlinked forum signatures as backlinks

Do signatures with URLs on forums work as backlinks, and will they help with improving my DA?

They are good for link diversification and if its from a niche relevant forum I dont see why not?

Dont try to do the profile linking part, do they atleast allow people to links to helpful articles? if yes then that should help too

These are good for diversification of backlink profile and anchor, Try to add value to it, there is a chance to get the benefit, prefer relevant forum and don't spam it, also I suggest to try other types of backlinks.
