I just applied for hydra a few minutes ago. I am going to receive a phone call in a few days and i would like to study for it. What questions do they ask? Also, do they ask if you are 18? If so, how am i liable if i lie and can they find out? Thanks, when i saw that they require a phone call i nearly shit myself
Dude don't sweat it, the worst that can happen is that they will say "no thanks". Just sound professional and honest, a good website helps.
My big advice is this: Just match their tone. If they sound laid back, be laid back. If they sound go-getter, then be go-getter, but don't overdo it. This is what they want to hear: 1. You're using PPC to drive traffic. 2. You've done it before, or you're studying with PPC-Coach, or read a lot of Wickedfire, or both. 3. You're using PPC to drive traffic. 4. You're using PPC to drive traffic. If you're a Noob, say so if they ask. But even so, be confident. Your actual interview will go like this in a nutshell. -------------------------- AM: Hey. You: Hey. AM: So you wanna do business with (PUT NAME OF COMPANY HERE) How did you find out about us? You: (ANSWER HERE: HEARD ABOUT YOU ON PPC-COACH, OFFER VAULT, SUCCESSFUL PPC PAL TOLD YOU, FORUMS. ETC)... I think that I could do well. I'll be using PPC to drive traffic to your offers. Is that going to be a problem? AM: No, not at all. Tell me about your sites. You: (Tell them about your sites. Have at least one up. If you don't have one, get a WP blog with a decent design, and fill it with something. You don't have to, but it's good to have SOMETHING up, though not a neccesity.) AM: Wow, that's great/cool/nice. You: SO you're OK with the PPC? AM: Yeah. You: Great/Cool/Nice. AM: We'll, I'm going to approve your app, and you'll get our site info with it in a few days. I'll be assigning (XXXX) to you, and she'll send over a letter and introduce herself. OK/Cool/Sound good? You: OK/Cool/Sound good? AM: OK, congrats, and have good day. HANG UP. ------- Another thing, don't be afraid to pick up the phone and call back if you get rejected. I called more than a few of my first rejections back, and said, " I don't understand. Don't you accept PPC traffic for your campaigns?" They took me on the spot. Go for it, and remember, there are hundreds of companies. They need YOU, not the other way around. Good luck to you.
hey, thanks alot +rep added Also, should i try to butter them up and seem humorous and talk like i know them, or will this just automatically scream UNPROFESSIONAL, REJECTED? I just figure that if you talk like a friend, they'll treat you like a friend and accept you, especially if you give them a good chuckle. Am i right or wrong on this? I figured a good strategy might be to make jokes about the things i don't really want them to ask. Am I Right or Wrong on this one.
Just be cool, the worst thing is just rejected, not more, if you rejected, just reapply again. I got rejected from hydra twice before finally i entered them.
Stop sweating this and just be confident. They asked me the following questions How I drive traffic - PPC Who else I worked with - NeverBlue and IncentaClick Do I do incentive sites - No They the confirmed all my application info and that was about it. The call took like 5 minutes and I received my welcome email about 10 min after the call.
Q:How many uniques a month do you get? A:50000-100000 Q:How do you get traffic? A:I build blogs and webpages and I get traffic through PPC on google. Q:How long have you been doing Internet Marketing? A:1 year and a half Q:What has worked for you in the past? A:Only PPC Q:What vertical/category/kind of offer you want to promote, or have promoted in the past? A:Anything that converts, I've done gaming, freebies, health, ringtones, email submit, etc.. Qo you offer incentives? A:NO Q:How much do you spend on advertising? A:100$ per day Qo you work with other network, which ones? A:YES, cj,eassociate, trade doubler Q:How did you hear about us? A:My friend told me, but he doesn't work with you.
dont wait for them to call you, you call them and tell them you want to get onto this asap also, don't just rely on hydra (I think they are great cause they hardly shave me), get into a few more (like 10-20 more) Look at hXXp://www.stats**remote.com/programs.php to see a masive list of cpa companies When you get a load of cpa companies us aff**spy and offer**vault (both dot com) to compare who is paying what for each offer. Don't forget to track and test EVERY ad/offer you use and if doing blackhat make sure you cover your ass re hiding the referer and control your conversions with some chap traffic oscar...
Hydra sent me an email few days ago telling me that, to complete the process, call them anytime at my convenience.
Don't be scared man, its not an interview.. Just be confident and talk to them in a professional way..Your application will go through... Good luck
they called me and left me a voicemail. i am not good about checking it and by time i got the message i already had an email from them saying that my application was declined. wonder if i can re-apply?
I'm signing up today with CPA Lead, been hearing they do not call, is that true? Anyway, will a really ugly blog with copied content allow me to get accepted?
CPA lead approved me about an hour after I applied, I never got a call or e-mail until I was already approved.
Isnt that the best thing about IM? you can be who ever you WANT TO BE!!! Be a cocky, arrogant SOB and say - "I make a ton of $$ with other networks, thought I give you a chance "
Hey hope you got into the network I myself just finally applied to CPA lead, gonna be the 3rd one I've joined.
Plus they'll ask your PPC budget, tell them $1000 - $2000 a month for their network Sound professional, tell them you are experienced enough in PPC and have a web designer that will help you out in creating landing pages. You can call them to hurry up the process and they'll like it
Just call them back. They aren't going to approve you unless you talk to them. Hydra especially can be bad about getting in contact with you. I applied for Hydra, but missed their call, so they declined me. I called them back, and left them a message with all the stuff they wanted to hear, but I still didn't hear from them. Finally I was at a 202Meeting, and there was a AM from Hydra there. I talked to him for a few minutes, and two days later, we found out that I'd been in the system all along, but hadn't been assigned a AM. So he got me, and I got into Hydra. I guess what I'm saying is call, call, call. Don't be afraid to call.
