Hey. I recently set up an autoblog "network" with about 400 or so autoblogs, and have new ones created daily. They all, however, are subdomains on my main domain name. I was wondering, will backlinks from each of these different subdomains be worth as much as normal backlinks from different websites? I put in a link to one of my other sites, which was already fairly high in google. I think it jumped a couple of positions, but I'm not sure if its because of the link or some other factor. Thanks for any replies guys!

400 autoblogs on one site? not sure how the search engines will take that.

Common wisdom round here says dont link on sub-domains- like ever! I recommend you search the autoblogs threads and follow their advice - most of it has worked well for me. Linking your blogs should be done carefully, try and keep max 5 blogs per Class C IP address otherwise expect big G to take notice sooner rather than later - if it de-indexes your main domain - wave goodbye to all 400 blogs!!
