Hi awesome people, I am a startup cofounder coming from the ecom // dropshipping scene. I made a decent buck and mainly specialized in FB ads & natives rather than any organic marketing or SEO. Now, I've met an dev friend and my ability in product development has surprisingly transferred from picking and choosing products from specific customer pain points during my time in dropshipping. I really believe in this startup, I've found a pain point for a high-retention customer avatar, which is basically untouched by competition. But now, I need to learn much much more about startup marketing to make sure I don't let my partner down.

I was recommended this forum by a long-time user over an online chat a while ago. After lurking around, I feel that this community is truly outstanding and genuine in their efforts to help one another. And most importantly, some of the members are truly amazing marketers, who are years ahead of me in experience. I am so excited to learn from you guys about startups, and hopefully I can help those who are newer in ecommerce as well.

I hope to achieve 100k MRR by the end of summer.

Please let me know if there are any threads you reccomend to follow, or any tips. I appreciate it a lot.

If you already have the skills to advertise, just use then mate. But if you need people to run ads for you, in account selling section of the site you'll find many agencies that offer both fb / google / tiktok agency accounts, and some also even build the campaigns for you. Take a look there, and i hope you all the best!

Thank you for replying dude. My main issue with running FB Ads or natives is because of my startup's main audience having pretty firm objections against any easily identifiable ad or undercover ad. But the upside is that this community has very strong & trusted social media presence in the form of influencers and discord, fb group, & paid communities // groupchats.

Because of this, I was looking into these channels upon launch.
1. Affiliate commission cuts, targeting trusted influencers & community owners (stemming from cold messaging these creators.)
2. Organic, informational advertising on social media (very undercover)
3. SEO with reddit & backlinks

Lmk what you think, this is very rough and not fully planned out. I'm in need of recommendations from a pro.

Well, it's quite hard to tell something because i don't know what product or service you are offering mate. But if you done the research and already identified those are the main ways to reach your clients, then go for it! Most of the best ideas you'll only really know if they are worth if you try then.

Just make sure to look how your market usually pays (how much / when) and just go. Here in bhw you'll find many specialists (or at least people that works) in different areas. Since you already figured out how to advertise, just research topics related to each type of ads you want to run, and you'll surelly find valuable insights here!

I’d like to know what products you primarily deal in so that I can offer you better advice.

hey KCHKO, welcome to bhw! 100k mrr by end of summer is a bold goal, respect. since u came from ecom/dropshipping n mostly ran paid ads, you plannin to stick with paid for this launch or actually give organic/seo a real shot this time?
