I didn't know that it stemmed from the UK version until recently, tried watching the UK version but couldn't get through the first episode. Totally different

I can't watch the uk version either, not my type of comedy. But the US version cracks me up.
I never thought to watch this. I'd previously watch a couple of American version episodes of Shameless and they were rubbish. I'll give these a go though.

I mean I love people from the UK over people from the U.S. I like that UK folks are more direct with less bs. Like Gordon Ramsay UK episodes.
The comedy is just completely different for me though. Difficult to understand. I even looked into why that is. It's interesting stuff.
