Anybody know whats the reasons for Twitter going on this huge ban spree lately I've counted atleast 10 accounts with 400k+ getting banned within the last week.
Here's the ones i noticed
@diaryforteens
@flirting
@flirtaionship
@thesedamnquotes
@femalebook
@besttextmsgs
@stealhisheart
@theunusalfact

I may be wrong, but I believe they were all the same person or group of people that were using very sketchy follow, spam tactics.

Basically, they would create fake accounts that look like actual stores or celebrities and make bogus claims and free (fake) giveaways if people went and followed the main accounts.

An elaborate, well thought out scheme that gained them tons of followers... definitely something you would find here on blackhat world, but it seems to have fallen apart so I wouldn't try it.

That happens from time to time. Social networks clean house then eventually chill out.

These accounts used to follow a few k people every day. that doesn't work anymore and seemed to work way too long for them.

I have like probably 30-50 account banned. These are all non PVA account with no friends, nothing and no images. I was trying yesterday to set up few and I have notice all of them are banned.

So probably If you have non pva account that are not active with no friends and no images will be banned.

i got a couple of K banned. to me seems they're just banning bots at random because other accounts which appears to be the same are still allright.

I did a little searching on Twitter and some of the accounts were linking to websites selling fake merchandise like knock off stuff and some of it appears to be random. I think one word usernames are always at a higher risk but will never know for sure. It will be interested if they get their accounts back.

twitter is a huge company which can afford to invest in user analysis and they know which accs are bots for sure. in july they aquired new CEO. so maybe he decided to make some 'changes' to scare some botmasters a bit.
their goal still is to attract more users. probably they just want to force good content from bots. and now the phone verification....

One thing, I saw def bans on was, using the same links, or same quotes / phrases - across multiple accounts. Anything that looks like an ad campaign spread across multiple accounts is a sure ban.

Not good for Social Chain, they still loads of tweets from other accounts and run mass campaigns across acounts

Love when you guys post warnings for the rest of us, appreciate it. Turning off any twitter bots now!

Clearing up space on their servers. Fire up a fiverr gig for creating Twitter accounts next week and $$$.

Yeah another 10 or so accounts got suspended this morning heres a few of them
@myturnons
@laughing
@flipmass
@shopivoryella
@aurorajewellers
@lifeofaprincess
@shoppessentials

I recommend everyone stop trading retweets, duplicate posts, and get rid of anything spammy/fake/goaling/ and any other copyright stuff. It appears twitter is only going after the larger accounts 500k+ be careful with what you promote.

Make that another 4 accounts (all parody accounts)
Most were parody accounts of the popular website worldstar

I am kind of happy they are getting rid of alot of the junk accounts that would just constantly spam users with their half-ass stores selling fake stuff and most of these accounts would steal retweets non stop with no original posts. It lets more accounts get their chance to shine and be unique.

lol I was wondering why people had stopped trading in my DM's, i have 2 300k accts and my inboxes are usually full every morning but have been quiet the passed few days

and yeah alot of the people that got banned were the ones doing really shady stuff with links/ clothes etc and parody stuff (worldstar)

More accounts have been suspended..
Add these to the list:
@thebucktlist
@blunntporn
@bibleofshoes
@simsreacting
@bubblebuttbabes
@familyguyshow
@meancelebtweets
@funnylipreading

I have no idea why a few of these accounts were suspended some were orginal and never tweeted ads or traded retweets. Just seems like twitter is doing a clean sweep of any parody accounts

i had a parody account banned and given back (luckily) a week or two before the ban spree, thankfully i tweeted all original content... I recognize some of the acct's on that last list as i've traded with some of them. ..if i had to say a good portion of the ppl who were banned are getting DMCA requests for stealing stuff, i've seen some bogus DMCA requests that have been granted, just a shitty situation atm. I'm laying low until everything clears up
