Hey guys what's up? It's me again. Previously I asked about the importance of unique meta description vs copied snippet from the article. Now I'm here to ask what the heck happened after we implemented AMP (using amp plugin by Automaticc).

Last April 26, 2018 I suggested that we need to adapt with AMP since most of our traffic is from mobile. I thought it would be great to have an almost page load whenever a user visits us on mobile. Plus, many people say it will also affect our mobile SEO if we turn to AMP pages.

However, last Monday I saw a huge drop on search traffic via Google Analytics. We lost almost 34% of traffic due to this AMP update, here's the screenshot:

Now my question is:
1. Is it normal to have a drop of traffic like this after AMP installation? Does anyone have the same experience?
2. If the website didn't pick itself again after 1 ~ 2 weeks, do I need to uninstall the AMP plugin?

Right now, I am monitoring analytics and talking with our team regarding optin rates & sales if they were affected directly (I'm pretty sure they are). Although there's some referral traffic from amp which can be found in the analytics as well.

Is it safe to assume that there's no traffic lost but all mobile traffic are redirected on referral traffic by amp.org?

I hope you guys can help me sort this thing out. I really appreciate any feedback and thoughts regarding this matter. Thanks!

looking at the screenshots, it seems you didn't setup non amp vs amp.
Try to check the URL given below and setup for your site.

Visited the URL, thanks! I end up installing another plugin called AMP for WP will monitor again the traffic.

There was a huge mobile update that made the mobile ranking fluctuate alot in the past 2-3 weeks - that could be the cause.
Otherwise, you should also make sure that the AMP pages comply to Big G's structured data requirement. Just search for structured data test, and you will be pointed to the right tool - make sure there is no error on the structured data, as a serious one, may be impairing your site in the process.
