I've been experiencing a huge drop in both the hop count & actual sales in the last few days.

Is it normal?

I thought people would buy more stuff during holiday seasons. Never expected this. :(

People do buy more stuff during the holiday season, just not clickbank stuff. Clickbank products don't make a good gift. People are buying for others right now. New years is a different story, should be good for weight loss and things like that

You should pick amazon products.People would buy physical items as gifts, not ebooks and software.

You have a point there after eating all of that ham and goodies for Christmas.

This. cb products are mostly for the rest of the year and not real "gift ideas". wait until january for normal hop and sales.

I haven't made any sales in the last 3 days. However, today I've managed to make one :) I think it's normal, because it's holiday time and people are buying more physical items.

I see a huge increase in kitchen appliances sales before Christmas, however CB conversion has always been awful at this time. Do not worry, in The middle of January most niches will recover.

My sales have actually gone up surprisingly enough in the lead up to Xmas, especially with this new CB sticky header, it's improving my conversions.

We have noticed an increase in conversions after introducing the Trust Badge too (in some cases up to 300% which is insane), so we are extremely happy with it and we're looking forward to making 2016 our best year ever.

That being said, it is very normal to have a drop in sales volume between thanksgiving and the end of the year, as people are spending their money mainly on physical products (gifts, decorations, food), so digital products sales tend to dip. They usually pick up from the second week of January.

Best wishes for the festive season to everyone on here btw :)

Really depends on what you are selling.
My friend got a huge spike in sales this week - he is in to ebay / drop-shipping and deals with perfumes.

In holiday time, people go for different products and buy so it quite natural.

Hi Mancar,

Are you using the badge or the header? Which are you finding brings better conversions?

Thanks

Hi Mancar,

We have split tested practically all variants on each of our pages, i.e. left vs right badge vs top vs bottom badges vs header vs color combinations...and then we choose the best converting one for each page. Interestingly, for some pages it was the header, while for others it was the badge (in different positions). Some variants did result in a drop in conversion rates, hence vendors who just placed the trust badge without split testing may have seriously undermined their conversion rates...and unfortunately I saw very very few vendors split-testing these. Most just went for the header or right bottom corner blindly.

If you are an affiliate, I would encourage you to contact the vendors and ask them if they have split-tested the trust badge and ask about how it has affected their conversion rates. Do encourage your vendors to split test different configurations!

I have also noticed huge drop in hops as well as traffic and conversion from 20th dec until now. I'm in health niche, first i also got worried because i didn't understand what happened as rankings are same for all keywords. But now i understand that people tend to buy more of a physical gifts than ebook guides or softwares. So i hope everything will be alright from jan. So guys don't worry about drop in hops or conversion, everything gonna be fine.

The other thing is that i also noticed huge increase in conversion rate after adding that cb batch. First i added it in header which decreases my conversion so i tested it in other sides now it works great for me.
