Hello,
my main keyword is ranking on first page for G.co.uk (enlgish) but only 7th page for G.com (english). On .com it used to be on 2nd page but now is dancing all over the place between 5h and 7th page for .com

The things is, I haven't made any linkbuilding that targeted .co.uk in special so how can results be this different? Should I expect my results on .com to be similar to co.uk after the dance settles?

Thanks

It's not country specific, it's domain.me

Ok I didn't know that but still, I don't think it is the explanation for the difference in rankings beteween .co.uk and .com

Could it be the language in the article? Like Uk English spelling of words?

Links maybe - even if they aren't newly built, maybe Google has indexed back links from uk based domains or from other sites with uk links to them?

Or maybe just us comp is a lot stronger and recently maybe Google devalued some of your back links causing your us rank to drop?

Not much competition in the niche and my amount of .co.uk links in my backlink strategy is very residual (close to none).
Actually in google.com the keyword sometimes appeaers in the 2nd page but only stays there like 10 minutes, then goes back to page 6 to 7. Dancing like crazy, while in the .co.uk it's pretty much always in the 1st page.

I'm also doing the checks using multiple trackers to check this and when using my own browser to make manual checks I make sure I use incognito and proxy.
