I'm currently promoting an email only offer and I'm getting people to sign up through some slightly BH means. Right now my conversion rate is about 75%.
That will definitely raise some flags right? What's the expected conversion rate on these offers?

i was told that anything over 10% raises flags and will probably mean someone will take a close look. You will probably find your traffic will start to get scrubbed pretty severely after a while anyway. If its PPC or PPV keep a close on eye on your costs if/when the scrubbing starts.

Right now, it's actually at 100%. I don't want to tell you it, but if you just look at some of the good email only offers out there, you'll probably find it.

Well, what if I have a very targeted landing page for that particular offer? And, say, I'm promoting it through PPC. I think there is a way to make even White Hat 50%-ish CR.

I talked to a friend of mine yesterday who knows nothing about CPA, and he asked me a question that I couldn't actually find an answer for:

    1) How will advertisers look at this - one person signs up multiple times for one offer? Because it does happen, especially if you have lots of returning visitors.

Sending junk traffic won't do anything for you. Once the advertiser sees that your traffic isnt converting on his end, he won't pay for it leaving you with $0 or a possible ban at your network.

Two biggest ways of hiding this is trying to mix this in with real leads (PPC, PPV, whatever it may be) or spread your earning (with junk traffic) over several different networks.

if you are using BH email methods will you will have to continue to use the same channel. The source of your traffic has to remain email. You need to dilute the conversion rate and clicks. These source of the clicks has to remain email. Include a WH email campaign into the mix.

Whoever told you that didn't know what they were talking about. Email/Zips are expected to get high rates of conversion simply because all they need to do is enter an email or zip!

I have whitehat campaigns converting at over 30% regularly. You definitely need to water-down your 75-100%. You've actually probably already screwed yourself. I will be very surprised if you ever see $1 from this.

ROFL. You don't know what your talking about...bluerickshaw was talking about flags been raised. What the fuck has whitehat conversion rates got to do with flags been raised on blackhat method?

If its whitehat of course 30% is not going to be an issue, your traffic with stand up to an audit by the network compliance team, & you would never know! The facts of life are that 10% plus conversion with submits is unusual. I ask my AM's what the conversions are for a email submit or any offer is, i do every-time before i run an offer, don't you?

Guess what they say? I'm using the word "guess", because i know you have never asked.
