Hubpages or Squidoo??

I have a big project coming up and will have a lot of articles from my writers (+40) to put on either of the two. So my main question is which would be a better backlink?

Plus i planned to do a lot of rss submissions once finished and noticed that each squidoo lens have a rss while in hubpages its only a author rss, which would benefit more?

BTW, all the articles are about 350 words if that matters... and would it matter if i posted them all over a week or do it need to be spread more across a larger time span?

Why would you choose just one? Both have their benefits and will help you in getting traffic and backlinks to your main site.

These are all %100 unique and dont want to post on both because then they wont be and hubpages will mark the score down

Hubpages is nofollow now or at least until you reach certain quality score.

Squidoo is a pain in the ass because they don't have a wysiwyg editor plus you have to have at least 3 modules before the lens is considered published. Less than that and it will be considered work in progress and all links will be nofollow. The introduction module counts and so does a youtube module toward the 3 module requirement.

If it where me, I would spread these articles out over as many web 2.0 properties as possible to get diversity in your backlinks and the IP addresses they are coming from.

Consider sites like Weebly, Wordpress, Blogger, and Wetpaint. I don't know if linkwheels work anymore but search the forum for "linkwheel" and you should be able to find tons of 2.0 sites to post your articles to.

if your articles are in the same niche, you
might consider matching and mixing them,
getting more mileage out of them.

getting a good hubscore is no problem since all the content in %100 unique

i have another hubpage account and score is only 83 and the links are ********

and i may be completely wrong but wouldn't it be smarter to put all of them on 1 site that gets most traffic opposed to spreading them across all the other 2.0 sites? and why do people on hubpages have over 100 hubs always seem to make the spot light?

The people with over 100 hubs make the spotlight because Hubpages makes 40% of the revenue from the adsense that is placed on these hubs.

I think you are looking at this all wrong. Even though hubpages may get more traffic. If you post 40 articles on 40 different hubs and backlink to them and do the perfect search engine optimization. Google will only show 2 hubpages on the first page results for any keyword. Your page views will come from google not hubpages.
The same goes for squidoo, weebly, or any other web 2.0 property or a site that has 2 pages that rank for the same keyword. Google will only show 2 results from the same domain on the first page for any given keyword.

If you are looking to get backlinks to your money site that will push it to the top of the search engines for your keywords. You should spread the articles around to 40 different web 2.0 sites with each one having a backllink to your main money page.
Ping these sites, bookmark them, submit rss feed and all that shit. Build links to everything.

If you want these articles to drive traffic to your site by having readers click the links in the articles. I would say submit them to article directories and promote the articles. (I say that but its not my thing, so you should investigate article marketing!)

You can also mix it up and submit to article directories and web 2.0 sites and all kinds of shit. Depending on the competiton for your keyword, you could maybe dominate the whole first page. Or you could fail miserably.

I started with Squidoo and added Hubpages later on. I'm a fan of both. Some months I earn more from hubpages, other months it's squidoo. I do agree that it's easier to get views quickly at hubpages, but over time, both sites work out pretty well for me.
You can mix up and edit content a bit to post on those 2 sites!

I wouldn't choose one over another. In terms of getting backlinks both are good resources. As other members said check out linkwheel.

Hubpages is better than squidoo in my experience, and google is showing a lot of love to hubpages in the SERPS. Getting a high enough author score (you need 75+ last I checked) is not very difficult, though you may need to publish a new hub every now and then or add material to existing ones to maintain it. After 75 your links become **************** and you have a decent backlink to your site.

My squidooos always get banned.....now i just make landing pages and sites myself

squidoo is more im friendly, but it is so saturated now i think it is hard to rank using that as your money site, hub is ok

Ok I have messed with both alot - here is exactly what you do.

I would submit ALL articles to Ezine. While those are pending their approval, then take them all over to hub pages and create hubs. Since they have not been published yet, there will be no issues. Hub pages has no issues if you put stuff elsewhere AFTER hub pages, just not before.

Additionally, make sure your titles are different for ezine and hub pages.

Do not point all your links to your main page. That is not normal, unless your main page IS literally the only page. Point at least 2/3 of the links deeper into your site, but still having to do with the keyword you chose. You are going to have all those ezine articles pointing at your site too so remember that.

Most of the time (its only happened 1 time) ezine MIGHT see that the stuff is on hubpages. I have only had this happen 1 time, the rest are totally fine.

Another trick to hub pages - DO NOT PUT A URL LINK IN YOUR ARTICLE when you make the hub. It will get flagged as promotional/advertising and shut down. There is a links section, do it there or, what I do, leave it with NO LINKS for about 2 weeks. Then go back in there and edit the hub, add the link. Most of the time that will allow you to do that. Once you are more established with more hubs you can put a link here or there into the text and have no issues. Basically with no hub score, you will get your hub deleted if you put back links in and all the time spent working on it is wasted. Anyway, until your hub score is above 70 or 75 cannot remember, all links are nofollow. If you make 40 quality hubs like that, including adding a few things (rss etc, simple) your score should be above that with ease. Then add your links and you are home free.

As a side note, using the same article a few times is totally fine - you will get no penalty. Around 10 times or so the value of the links starts going down. You can get around that by altering the link text AND chosen link sentence and the actual URL target page. This allows the article to be used about 20 times or so in total. Stats on this - I dont have any, but I have used this method and gotten sites ranked in top 20 for keywords no problem - so if there was a penalty, it did not affect me.

Neither. I would hit up other directories while mixing the paragraphs, etc.
