Https vs Http expired domain help

Hi

So I bought an expired domain and I see most backlinks point to the "http" version of the site.

My website automatically shows "https"

Will it still retain its DA and backlink juice and should I change it to http even though some pages are indexed on google already showing the https

I don't want to mess up things so not sure if changing to http will impact the pages already indexed

I just want to make sure I still have that link juice even though it's https...

Can I just do a redirect on my Cpanel from http to https and the backlink juice will be fine?

To find out if it's a problem, just go to one of the pages where your backlinks are and click on it. Do you end up on the http version of your site or the https version? If it's the https version then you don't have to do anything. If you landed on the http version you need to redirect it. If you are running on cPanel then you can do it from there and your worries are over. All the link juice from the http links will be carried through the 301 redirect - I believe Google makes this a special case now and does not reduce the link juice flowing through like it does with other 301 redirects.

If you have proper 301-redirects in place to https version then all link juice will go there.
We all had to switch to https at one point (so it's natural to have old links pointing to http version of your site).
Did I see any improvement after switching to https? No... pretty much the same rankings.

It's said to be a ranking factor these days, you are better off serving up https and redirecting any http requests to the https equivalent.
