That wasn't what I was trying to do, I was trying to get the https to pass through to the custom domain. It can be found burried in the settings.

You can ensure first if you have a custom domain before setting up HTTPS, make sure you have a custom domain properly configured

From the hamburger menu hit settings then look for "HTTPS availability" make sure it's set to available, it will make the https pass through the . blogspot to the custom domain.
It was easier to find on my phone then it was the computer. usually it's the other way around for me.
Just pop open settings and Ctrl+f for
HTTPS availability exactly.
