's' show the security label. All message send on FB are secure so you and it is maintained by Facebook itself.

Since the question was already answered 100 times I wont bother, but man isn't it easier to just google these ones rather than sit and wait for a forum answer? Haha

'S' is for the secured connection. This 's' denotes that your connection is secure enough and verified. If you use only'http' , You have a chance to be hacked by someone else or your data is not enough secured.
