Hello all,

I am wondering if there is a difference between HTML vs. WP "one page" landing pages when it comes to SEO.

Will one rank better than the other? I understand that WP landing page are generally easier to setup as plugins can be installed to make things easier and faster. However, I have also read that single its a WP-blog, google expect them to be updated often - otherwise, after a period of time, their ranking will start dropping etc.

Any input will be apprecaited. Thanks.

html is lighter and will load faster. That has a small affect on your rankings.

But depending on your skills, then might it take longer time to set up. WP is pretty straigt forward and have a lot of useful plugins.

One disadvantage of Wordpress is the plugins that people often add to the - just cos they're free. If you keep WP lean with the minimum of plugins, it's a good way to create and update a site without having to get WYSWIG software like Dreamweaver or FrontPage. Unless you're a CSS expert or HTML expert, my advice would be to spend your time concentrating on content.

I agree, building WP site is faster if You already have a theme. Two clicks and everything is done.
