    I was viewing the page source of a website, and I noticed some tags that I didnt understand. it looks like this:

    Code:

    <!-- m --> <a href=http://www.youtube.com/watchSomethingSomething </a> <!-- m -->
    what I don't understand is the <!-- m -->
    is that a comment tag? if it is, then how come the link is showing up on the actual page? arent comments not shown unless you view source?

    Home Page:
    It's comment, it's probably for their own internal use, or they have some sort of cms/back end that interprets that code in a custom way.

    <!-- m --> is a comment and it ended already.. now the link starts here. the second <!-- m --> is again the comment which started after the link, so the link in between two comments is displayed :)

    EDIT:

    it's similar to

    <!-- This is comment 1 -->

    <some code>
    <a href=http://www.youtube.com/watchSomethingSomething </a>

    <!-- This is comment 2 -->
