html pushes frame or script to next line down

hey guys,

I'm having a dreamweaver moment!

I tried using premade templates, but when I pasted a script or whatever into a section, inevitably it would push other things out of alignment and it seemed to be a pain....

So then I just thought I would create a blank html page and paste codes or scripts into it. actually doesn't work too bad, however in some cases I might
only be able to get one iframe onto a give line from left to right, even though there is more room on the same plane?

and if I try to paste anything next to it in the code, even if the display size is small enough in size that it seems it should fit on the small line from left to right, but in many cases is placed below ???????

I realize this is something very simple for the experienced, but any suggestion on how I should make corrections?

If someone could give me a point on this?

I'll rephase what I'm tying to do.....

I'm using dreamweaver and adding java, iframes and img's.....the problem is I have trouble in many cases getting more than one item on a line?

I'll give you an example, lets say I place in the code an iframe that is 300 x 300 pixels....well that's not a problem, but the problem I typically have is if I then want to place another script on the same line, whether it's an iframe or an img with a href reference, after all there should be about 800 more pixels of room on the same line...

almost enviably I am not able to place something else so that it will be side by side, instead it gets pushed below under the 300x300 img, even though what I am trying to get to display on the same plane or line isn't so large as to necessitate being pushed down???
