Just use cleand and good structured code and you are fine. Do not break sematic structure.

I don't think it makes any difference if you are using HTML post or just using the normal way. just optimize your code and do onpage SEO. use Yoast SEO or Rankmath plugin for guidance

it works fine as long as you switch to the code editor.. just avoid pasting scripts that conflict with your theme.
