HTML code in Gmail email don't render correctly?

Firstly it was tedious to put the HTML in the email, I had to use inspect element and modify stuff, don't know what they don't just give out HTML option in emails. Secondly it rendered incorrectly with some dashes around the text that shouldn't be there.

How to do it correctly?
 
There's a high possibility something broke when you used Inspect Element.

If you want, you can send me the template and I'll take a look at it for you.

Or if you're in the mood for tinkering, instead of going with the Chrome Developer Tools - first save your email as a .html file and then select it and paste it in Gmail's compose.

Please remember that Gmail and many other email clients don't support 100% of the HTML and CSS architecture.

Drop it into vs code or notepad++ switch language to html and look for obvious errors. Sounds like you might have missed some comment blocks
