I've thought about making a tool that can assist with this which Google's multiple things (and checks probability), grabs info from wikipedia, etc and then the person who runs it determines for himself which answer it probably is. Most of the bots basically just search for the term and then check the probability of a certain term appearing on the results, which works for some questions, but not all. It's very challenging to win but it would be cool to win every time. I just don't know if it's completely worth it because it takes a lot and they only usually pay a few dollars at best.

well like tonight people won 350$ on the 100k pool. So the prizes are there if you play it right you know?

A couple weeks ago they had The Rock hosting a $300k game and there were ~80 winners at $3600 each. Not bad for 20 minutes.

Exactly. The potential to win big is def there if theres a way to outsmart the system.

They won't be doing the 500k, 600k or 700k now because they were following along with the NBA playoffs. 400k was the last one because the playoffs only lasted 4 games.

awwww dang. Well a bot would be helpful for these kinds of events.

Unfortunately even if you do make a bot or a tool that shows you relevant information for the question, it still depends on luck. The method where you search google and check which keyword is most common does work somewhere about 50-90% of the time which means that you would need at least thousands of fake players to guarantee that you will win. Another way is to make a tool that shows relevant information by checking the keywords in the question and matching those keywords together to quickly show you information about that topic.

Either way if you could figure how it works and whichever direction is best would be amazing. Obviously there's still luck, but at least be able to increase the odds on it.

I would suggest setting up an elastic search server and feed him with all information which is easy to get. (Textexports from Wikipedia, a few dictionaries,...). A normal request with keywords doesn‘t last long < 1 sec.
The next (parallel of course) data source is google, using keyword from question and send it. Parse the results ...
Again parallel check for bing results (maybe wolframalpha).
Combine results and show them.

Picasso once drew a picture on a napkin. Took him 10 minutes.
He charged $10,000 for the napkin.
"Not bad for 10 minutes," a stupid person might say.
The cost to Picasso was NOT only 10 minutes.
He had to wait 10 minutes for the napkins (suddenly his time spent is now 20 minutes),
not to mention having to deal with the lady telling him the price was unfair,
not to mention the decades he spent becoming a painter.
More importantly, you failed to count all the time and energy those 80 winners wasted
losing previous games (20 minutes each game) and gaining ZERO MONEY for every one of those 20-minute losses.
Let's say those 80 winners played and lost 19 games prior to winning the 20th game.
That means each spent 6.66 hours to win that $3,600. Which equates to only $554 per hour.
Not bad money, but that's very different from your grossly overestimated "$10,800 per hour."

You think their previous 99 losses were not directly related
to their 100th round jackpot?
Obviously, if you're using a trivia bot to win money, you're not playing for leisure.
Let's assume the 80 people playing the game were playing for leisure.
In that case, your "20 minutes" is not time spent in exchange for money.
Should've said, "Not bad for doing what you'd do anyway for free."

I think you'd have to really ask yourself the effort it would take to construct a bot that would be helpful under 10 seconds.
If you are an avid programmer and find this to be interesting, go right ahead and write one, I'm sure it can be done.

My point is this:
Always remember to count the misses along with the hits.
Don't count just your gains. Count your losses as well.
