This helped me a lot :) I am now watermarking thousands of pics I need for my niche ;)
 
You can do it with Photoshop as well. Go to action tab, New, Record, put the watermark and then stop the recording. Then go to File, Automate and select Batch. Select the action you just created, choose input folder and a destination folder, or Save and Close, then click OK. Done.

I'm not having much luck using the program, I uploaded a logo to use on the images but after the output there's no watermark showing. I tried to do this 4 times and got the same result each time apart from the last when all the images just shrunk. Do I need to tick the shadow and background boxes or leave them unticked, so frustrated?
 
To anyone interested...if you don't want to download and install software, you can also do this using Google Picasa service. I was looking for a way to do this a while ago and found this video tutorial that shows step by step how to do it using Picasa. Thanks for sharing this, I needed this pretty badly. Got to watermark each of my pictures on my website, so that when they're in google, they'll be able to convert to my website. :p
 
Nice write up! This can also be done in photoshop quite easily.
----> Open ALL the images you would like to add a watermark to.
----> Open the watermark file or logo you would like to use.
----> Open the ACTIONS tab in photoshop
------------>hit record
---->Move the watermark over to the first image into the position you would like the watermark to appear on ALL images
------------>place the image
---->select image size
---->change the image size to the final dimensions needed for your image
---->"Save file as" format needed
---->Close the new image
--------->HIT THE STOP RECORDING BUTTON
------>NOW HIT PLAY for all of the next images :)
