How's these whole start up with twitter going?

Hi, i have a niche oriented website and most of my traffic comes from fb, but i want to include twitter also. Problem is i have never opened twitter in my life, so can i get some bassic help how do start on this adventure? What is twitter equivalent of fb fan pages, do you need multiple accounts like in fb etc. Any help would be appreciated, 10x

Figure out the niche you're in and create and account for it. Start following user's followers who are in the same niche. Join a tweetdeck and gain RTs from bigger accounts...

Also you can download software like Crowdfire and follow your competitor's followers. For example if you had a twitter promoting your blog about video games (for example) then you might want to follow the followers of big twitter accounts like IGN or Kotaku. Only pick the most active followers and wait about 24 hours then unfollow everyone who havn't followed you back. I did exactly this and got 1,000 in about 2 weeks.
